                     White Bread - Another Variation

   1      Package       Yeast,Active Dry
     1/4  Cup           Warm Water
   2      Cups          Milk,Scalded
     1/4  Cup           Butter
   2      Tablespoons   Sugar
   2      Teaspoons     Salt
   6      Cups          Flour,All-Purpose

1)  Put the yeast in warm water.  Let it stand for a few minutes, then stir it until dissolved.

2)  Pour hot milk over the butter, sugar and salt in a very large mixing bowl.  Cool to lukewarm and add the yeast and 3 cups of the flour.  Beat well.

3)  Add remaining flour and mix well.  Turn out on a floured board and knead until smooth and satiny.

4)  Put in a greased bowl, turn once, cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled (about 1 1/2 hours).  Punch the dough down and let rise again for 30 minutes.

5)  Shape the dough into 2 loaves and put in greased 9x5x3 inch pans.  Let rise until doubled (about 45 minutes). Bake at 200° C (400° F) for 35 minutes.
