                        Turkey Stuffing with Fruit

   1      Loaf          Toast Brot
     1/4  Cup           Butter
   1      Large         Onion,Chopped
   2      Stalks        Celery,Chopped
 250      Grams         Mushrooms,Sliced -- (9 ounces)
   4                    Granny Smith Apples,Peeled and Chopped
   1      Cup           Walnuts,Chopped
     1/2  Cup           Raisins
   1      Tablespoon    Bell's Seasoning
   1      Teaspoon      Salt
     1/4  Teaspoon      Pepper
     1/2  Teaspoon      Herbs de Provence

1)  Boil the celery gently with 2 cups of water for 15 minutes.  Save some of the liquid to moisten the stuffing if necessary.

2)  Saute the onions in a skillet with the butter.  When they are tender (after about 5 minutes) remove them with a slotted spoon to a bowl.

3)  Fry the mushrooms in the remaining butter in the same pan.

4)  Break the toast brot into bits and mix with the spices and salt and pepper.  Add the onions, mushrooms and celery and mix well.  Then add the apples, walnuts, and raisins and mix well.

5)  If needed, use some of the celery water to moisten the stuffing.
