                  Tamale Pie with Cheese & Chile Filling

   1      Recipe        Plain or Red Chili Tamale Dough -- See Recipe
 340      Grams         Cheddar Cheese,in cubes or grated
 225      Grams         Chopped Green Chiles

1)  Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2)  Mix the cheese with the chopped chiles to make the filling.

3)  With a rubber spatula, spread two thirds of the dough evenly onto the bottom and up the side of a 10-inch glass pie plate

4)  Spread the filling in the shell and with the spatula, fold the exposed dough over the filling.

5)  Pat out the remaining dough into a thin flat disk to cover the filling and pinch the top and sides together gently.

6)  Smooth the top gently and with the back of a fork make a decorative design lightly on the top.

7)  Bake the pie in the lower third of the oven for 40 minutes.
