                              Shepherd's Pie

 450      Grams         Mashed Potatoes -- (1 pound)
   1      Tablespoon    Milk or Cream
  60      Grams         Butter -- (2 ounces)
   2                    Onions
 450      Grams         Minced Cooked Beef or Lamb -- (1 pound)
   5      Ounces        Strong Stock or Gravy
     1/2  Teaspoon      Worcester Sauce
                        Salt and Pepper to taste

1)  Melt 1 ounce of the butter, add it to the mashed potatoes with the milk, season with salt and pepper and mix well.

2)  Peel and finely chop the onions.  Melt the remaining butter in a frying pan, add the onions, and cook until soft.  Mix in the meat, moisten with stock and Worcester sauce, and season well.

3)  Place the meat in a lightly greased baking dish, cover with the mashed potatoes and bake in a hot oven (230° C (450° F)) for 30 minutes.  The top should be golden brown.
