                               Pizza Sauce

 400      Grams         Tomatoes (1 can) -- (14 ounces)
   1      Tablespoon    Olive Oil
   1      Small         Onion, Quartered
   1                    Bay Leaf
     1/4  Teaspoon      Sugar
     1/4  Teaspoon      Oregano
     1/4  Teaspoon      Salt

1)  Put the tomatoes with the juice in a sieve over a medium-sized sauce pan and mash them through the sieve into the pan.  Discard the seeds and anything that doesn't go through the sieve.

2)  Add the remaining ingredients to the sauce and saute very gently for 1 hour.

3)  Remove the onion and bay leaf.

NOTES : Enough for 1 large or 2 small pizzas.  But Hunt's tomato sauce tastes good with some oregano sprinkled over it, and it's A LOT EASIER!
