                            Parmesan Pine Cone

   1      Cup           Sliced Almonds
 340      Grams         Cream Cheese -- (12 ounces)
     1/2  Cup           Parmesan Cheese, Grated
     1/4  Cup           Mayonnaise
   1 1/2  Teaspoons     Oregano, Fresh, Chopped -- (1/2 tsp. dried)
   1      Clove         Garlic (small clove), Crushed
                        Crackers

1)  Preheat oven to 170° C (325° F).  Spread almonds in a single layer on a baking sheet.  Toast in oven, shaking pan once or twice, until almonds are lightly browned, 7 to 10 minutes.  Let cool.

2)  In a medium bowl or food processor, combine cream cheese, Parmesan, mayonnaise, oregano and garlic.  Blend until well mixed.  Refrigerate until firm but still pliable, about 1 hour.

3)  Place cheese mixture on a serving board or platter and form into shape of a pine cone.  Stud top with toasted slivered almonds to complete illusion.

4)  Serve with crackers.
