                                Mince Pies

 500      Grams         Flour (700 Glatt) -- (18 ounces)
 125      Grams         Butter -- (4 1/2 ounces)
 125      Grams         Ceres soft -- (4 1/2 ounces)
   3      Tablespoons   Powdered Sugar
   4      Tablespoons   Cold Water -- (4-5 Tbsp. water)
   1      Jar           Mincemeat

1)  Mix the dry ingredients together.

2)  Cut the butter and margarine into the flour.

3)  Mix the water in quickly with a fork and allow dough to rest for 15 to 20 minutes.

4)  Roll the dough out thinly (1/8 inch thick).

5)  Using muffin tin, line each cup with some pastry, pricking holes in the base with a fork.  Fill with mincemeat. Brush the edge of the pastry with water and top with a round of pastry, pressing the edges together to seal.

6)  Brush the tops with water and sprinkle with caster sugar. Make a hole or two small cuts in the top of each tart.

7)  Bake at 220° C (425° F) for 25 to 30 minutes.

NOTES : You may need more (more than 4-5 Tbsp.) or less water for the crust depending on the quality of your flour.
