         Fish Filets in White Sauce with Green Onions & Mushrooms

   2      Tablespoons   Butter
     3/4  Cup           Green Onions,Sliced
     1/2  Cup           White Wine,Dry
   1      Cup           Milk
   1      Cup           Sour Cream
   1      Teaspoon      Worcestershire Sauce
   1      Cup           Mushrooms,Chopped
                        Salt and Pepper to taste
   1                    Bay Leaf
   4      Small         Fish,fileted (or 2 large)
   2      Large         Potatoes,Sliced into 1/2 inch rounds

1)  Saute the green onions in the butter and white wine for 3 minutes (medium heat).

2)  Add the flour and mix well.  Cook for 1 to 2 minutes.

3)  Stir the milk in slowly to avoid lumps.

4)  Add salt and pepper to taste.

5)  Add the bay leaf and the chopped mushrooms.  Add the sour cream last and cook a few more minutes, stirring frequently.  Mixture should begin to thicken.

6)  Boil the potato slices for 5 minutes, then drain.

7)  Line a small baking dish with the potatoes, cover with the raw fish and top with all of the sauce.

8)  Bake, covered with foil, for 15 minutes at 180° C (350° F). Uncover and cook an additional 5 to 10 minutes.

Note:  Tastes good with asparagus or brocolli.  The sauce can be used for the vegetables.
