                              Cracker Candy

   1      Sleeve        Saltine Crackers
   1      Cup           Butter
   1      Cup           Sugar
   6      Ounces        Chocolate Chips
   1      Cup           Almonds, Chopped

1)  Take one cookie sheet that has sides and line it with foil.

2)  Layer the saltines in a single layer on the cookie sheet.

3)  Melt the butter with the sugar and stir constantly at boiling point until the mixture is thick and pulls away from the sides (about 4 minutes).

4)  Spread butter over crackers and bake at 180° C (350° F) for 10 minutes.

5)  Remove and pour chocolate chips over the crackers and spread the melting chocolate with a knife.

6)  Top with chopped nuts.

7)  Place the whole sheet in the freezer and leave for 1/2 hour, then remove and break the candy into irregular 2- or 3-inch pieces.

NOTES : To keep fresh, place in an air tight container and refrigerate.

Jennifer says these sound very strange, but that they taste "really really good!" .
