                       Chocolate Almond Butterballs

   2      Cups          Flour -- (200 grams?)
     1/2  Teaspoon      Salt
   2      Ounces        Chocolate,Baker's,Semi-sweet -- (or Unsweetened)
   1      Tablespoon    Milk
     3/4  Cup           Butter
     1/2  Cup           Sugar
   2      Teaspoons     Vanilla Extract
     1/2  Cup           Almonds,Blanched,Chopped

1)  Sift the flour with the salt and set aside.

2)  Melt the chocolate with the milk and set aside to cool.  NOTE:  If using unsweetened chocolate, don't mix it with the milk, but add the milk to the batter before blending in the cooled chocolate in the next step.

3)  Cream the butter, sugar and vanilla.  Blend in the cooled chocolate.  Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix well.

4)  Mix in the chopped nuts.

5)  Shape dough into balls, roll in granulated sugar (if desired), and bake at 180° C (350° F) for 12 to 15 minutes.

NOTES : This is a family recipe.  My sisters and I always make these cookies at least once (we double the recipe, of course) when we all get together.
